Functional Requirement


Purpose/WHY:

Need to create universe measures on AR datasource.

In Scope:

Need to create universe with calculated measures and optional prompts on AR datasource.

Out of Scope:

Currency Conversion is not handled in universe.

Solution Summary


1. Need to create data connections based on required cube.
2. Need to create data foundation by using data connections.
3. Need to create Business Layer by using data foundations.
4. Need to develop Information space based on Universe.
5. Need to create Explorer reports based on Information Space.

Solution Details


1. Created data connections based on required cube(VFIAR_C03).
2. Created data foundation by using data connections.
3. Created business Layer by using data foundations.
4. Added the following optional prompts to Business layer:
i. Company Code.
ii. Fiscal Year Variant.
iii. Sales Rep.
iv. Customer.
5. Created Information space based on AR Universe.

Issues


Customer Credit Logic implementation is complex in universe and Information space indexing has poor performance on BW cube source.
